NOTICE OF BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Burleigh County Board of Commissioners, Burleigh County, North Dakota will accept bids until Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 1:30 P.M. (Local time). Bids will be opened and read at that time in the 1st Floor Conference Room of the City/County Building, located at 221 N. 5th St. in Bismarck, ND. The results and final disposition of the bid opening will be presented to the County Commission on Monday, November 2, 2026, beginning approximately at 5:00 P.M. (Local time), in the Tom Baker room of the City/County building, for the following items:
3 – New Motor Graders
Specifications are available from the Burleigh County Road Superintendent at 8100 43rd Ave NE, Bismarck, ND 58503. Phone 701-204-7748.
Bid packets shall consist of two separate envelopes – a large envelope and a small envelope (plainly marked as Equipment bid on the outside of each), the small envelope shall contain a 5% Bidder’s Bond and be secured to the outside of the large envelope. The large envelope shall contain the Equipment bid on the County’s bid form.
The Mailing address is: COUNTY AUDITOR, P.O. BOX 5518, 221 N. 5TH ST., BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA 58506.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to waive technicalities or to accept such as may be determined to be in the best interest of the County.

Noxious Weeds & Hay Cutting in Ditches
Official Notice 2026
In accordance with NDCC 4.1-47-02, it shall be the duty of every person (individual, partnership, firm, corporation, company, society, association, the state or any department, agency or subdivision thereof, or any other entity) to eradicate or control the spread of noxious weeds on lands owned or controlled by him/her in the state of North Dakota. Control means to prevent the spread of any noxious weed by seed or any other propagating part. Such parts must not be transported in any manner. Penalties are provided for in NDCC 4.1-47-31.
The Burleigh County Noxious Weed Control Board will spray portions of the road ditches with herbicides for noxious weed control. Some of the herbicides used may have a haying or grazing restriction, meaning a certain amount of time must pass after herbicide application and before haying or grazing operations may begin. These restrictions are determined by the herbicide label.
Operators who wish to cut and make ditch hay, should contact the Weed Control Officer to determine if and when a specific area has been treated and what the restriction timeline is. Operators wishing to not have their ditches sprayed prior to haying should also contact the Weed Control Office at 8100 43rd Avenue NE, Bismarck, ND 58503, phone 701-934-0088 or 701-204-7748.
NOTICE: Cost share monies are available. Contact the Burleigh County Weed Officer to sign up.
