Be A Poll Worker

Uncle Sam "We want you to be a poll worker"

Poll Worker Interest Form

Student Poll Worker Interest Form

Our community needs people like you to work as a poll worker on Election Day. Burleigh County recruits and trains an estimated 200 citizens within the community each election cycle.

Being a poll worker is a great way to meet new people, network with local entrepreneurs, & help your neighbors. What a rewarding way to help your community!

Burleigh County election officials will teach you everything you need to know to do the job and be a part of an Election Board. The Election Board checks voters in at the polling place, explains how they cast the ballots, and completes tasks at the end of the night to close the polls. Just a few requirements need to be met to be selected:

    • You must be a US citizen;
    • at least 16 yrs of age;
    • and, a resident of Burleigh County

Upon being selected, you will be required to...

    • attend a short training;
    • participate in setting up the precinct on Election Day;
    • and be willing to work the entire day.
