The Highway Department maintains all of the 1,486 miles of road within the County. This mileage includes 172 miles in approximately 500 subdivisions. Burleigh County also funds installation and maintenance of all culverts measuring 24" in diameter and larger located in defined public roads. This does not include private approach culverts on any roads.
The Highway Department also maintains 67 bridges on County and Township roads.
