APPLE CREEK ROAD UPDATE
APPLE CREEK ROAD PROJECT UPDATE
Work continues on Apple Creek Road, with several segments moving into the final stages of construction.
Current Work – 66th Street SE to 80th Street SE
- The final asphalt layer has been completed.
- Crews are working on the roadside slopes and will continue for approximately the next two weeks, weather permitting.
- Once complete, crews will add topsoil, seed and mulch the areas.
- The roadway will then be cleaned and striped before this segment opens to traffic.
Work Beginning September 14
- 66th Street SE area: Milling will begin the morning of September 14, followed by paving beginning September 15.
- 80th Street SE area: Milling will begin the afternoon of September 14, followed by paving after the adjacent segment is completed.
- 80th Street SE to County Road 10: Milling and paving will follow the completion of the above work.
- Traffic impacts: Flaggers and a pilot car will be used during milling and paving operations. Please expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through the work zone.

Apple Creek Bridge
Beginning September 21, the existing bridge approximately ½ mile east of 80th Street SE will be removed and replaced with triple box culverts. A stream diversion will also be installed.
🚧 A detour will be required while the bridge is removed and the new culverts are installed. Access across Apple Creek will not be possible during this work.

The contractor anticipates completing the bridge project by October 23, weather permitting.
