River Road Reopened

Effective immediately, River Road is now open to thru traffic between Wilderness Cove Road and Sandy River Drive.  The County has removed the landslide material that was blocking the roadway.  It is important to note that the removal of existing material is not a “fix” to the current instability in the area but just a cleanup operation in order to reopen River Road to traffic.  We are monitoring other fracture lines within the hillside that may (or may not) produce additional landslides at any point in the future.  Burleigh County will continue to monitor the slide area and provide additional information to the public as it becomes available.
