The American Red Cross and Disney teamed up to provide an activity book featuring Disney characters, interactive games, and activities to teach kids interesting facts about disasters, as well as tips on how to get prepared and feel safer as a result.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, has a "Ready Wrigley" website to help kids learn about various emergencies. Ready Wrigley has books and checklists--all to teach children about what to do in emergency situations.
Ready Kids is a website packed with information and games to help kids and their families better prepare in the event of a disaster. Learn how to create an emergency kit, play Ready Kids games and Prepare with Pedro to learn how they prepare for different situations. Teens can complete a Teen CERT program to help be a leader in their community.
There are also resources for parents and teachers that can be used in the classroom or home.

Prepare with Pedro: Disaster Preparedness Activity Book
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Red Cross have teamed up to introduce the Prepare with Pedro: Disaster Preparedness Activity Book. Prepare with Pedro is a fun new way for parents, teachers, and community leaders to talk about safety with young children.
The activity book features Red Cross character Pedro the Penguin, who demonstrates how to stay safe during a variety of natural hazards. The activity book is designed to be both educational and engaging for young children, offering safety advice alongside crosswords, coloring pages, matching games, and more.
